Introduction:

As a leader and senior professional, you need to decide if you should devote most of your time to routine management actions or develop strategic vision to navigate your department, develop leadership skills in your team, be contemporary in knolwedge and trends globally and provide the level of safety to patients and staff that they deserve.

Great bosses change staff for the better. They see more in their staff than they see in themselves, and they help them learn to see it too. They dream big and show others all the great things they can accomplish. Great leaders inspire trust and admiration through their actionsnot just their words.

Chairersons and senior management professionals in imaging are increasingly confronted with skills to obtain more resources, effective appropriation of resources, development of human resource for effective utilization and ensuring trust of referring physicians, patients and colleagues. The demands vary from something that is considered unrresaonable as per current knolwege to something that must be given due attention and with urgency.

Unfortunately there has been minimal attention given to effective management and development of leadersip skills in imaging.

The program share give you opprtunity to interact with top leaders in the field from Harvard Medical School and Massachusetts General Hospital and listen to their personal experiences on how they have raised profile of their field and implemented change institaion.

The discussions shall include: Management issues in radiology and nuclear medicine today and likely in next decade in context of imaging appropriateness and referral, financial and reimbursement, human resource management, coping with technological advances, leadership development, software upgradations, radiation protection from regulatory compliance to need of the day, radiation protection issues for both patients and staff, issues with imaging of children, neonates and pregnant women
