H.H Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, UAE Minister of Finance and Chairman of Dubai Municipality, honored the winners of the 9th cycle of 'Dubai International Award for Best practices to Improve the Living Environment', in Dubai Intercontinental Hotel, Festival City, Dubai.

 

During the ceremony, 12 winning projects were honored including: Dubai Metro, UAE, Linfen City Public Toilet, China, The City of Children, Spain, Operation Big blue Association, Lebanon, RevoLooTionizing Rural Market for Sanitation, Cambodia, Program of Organic Vegetable Gardens at Schools, Brazil, Burkina Faso-Affordable Housing project and Women Empowerment in harsh climatic and social-cultural environment, Kenya. 

 

The ceremony was attended by Eng. Hussain Nassir Lootah, Director General of Dubai Municipality, H.E. Humaid Mohammed Al Qattami, UAE Minister of Education, H.E. Eissa Al Maidour, Director General of DHA, assistant director generals of DM, senior officials, and representatives of the Award Jury.
