H.H. Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid opens Gulfood 2013 26 February 2013
H.H. Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, UAE Minister of Finance and Deputy Ruler of Dubai, opened the 18th edition of Gulfood 2013 at Dubai World Trade Centre, in the presence of H.E. Sheikha Lubna Bint Khalid Al Qasimi, UAE Minister of Foreign Trade.
 
Within a space of 113,398m² hosting 4,200 companies showing more than 5o.000 brands from 110 countries, Gulfood 2013 is the largest and most 'internationally varied' show in the event's history. This year, it has welcomed more than 1,400 new exhibitors ensuring an unparalleled range of new products and technology solutions available to buyers from each sector of the food and hospitality spectrum.
 
Following the inauguration of the show, government ministers and heads of international trade delegations from over 14 countries conducted bilateral talk concentrated on the food import and export issues.
 
It is worthy to mention that Gulfood has grown consistently over the last 26 years to become a significant driver of food and beverage trade for global markets. It delivers substantial business contracts and facilitates unrivalled trade opportunities for both regional and international businesses.
