March 19, 2017:
The 8th Gulf Thoracic Conference honored Abdullah bin Souqat, a member of the Board of Trustees of Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Award for Medical Sciences, in recognition of his efforts in the award’s support for the conference which has become one of the most important medical events in the region.

Professor Muhammad Al Hajjaj, chairman, Gulf Thoracic Conference, and President, Saudi Thoracic Society, honored the award during the opening ceremony of the conference that was held at the Grand Hyatt Hotel, Dubai.

On this occasion, Abdullah bin Souqat said: The Hamdan Medical Award is keen to support the significant continuing medical education activities locally, regionally and globally, like this 3-days conference whose success was predicted since its first sessions in the Emirate of Dubai.

“One of the most important elements of its success is the combined efforts of many local, regional and global medical institutions including the Emirates Allergy and Respiratory Society, Saudi Thoracic Society, American Thoracic Society,  and European Respiratory Society”, he added.
