H.H. Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid inaugurates the 17th edition of International Pharmaceuticals & Technologies Conference & Exhibition 13 March 2012
H.H. Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, UAE Minister of Finance and President of Dubai Health Authority inaugurated the seventeenth edition of International Pharmaceuticals & Technologies Conference & Exhibition - (DUPHAT), at Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre.
 
DUPHAT was organized by Index Conferences and Exhibitions Organization Est., member of INDEX Holding, in cooperation with Dubai Health Authority from 12th till 14th of March 2012.
 
H.H. Sheikh Hamdan had a tour in the exhibition and explored the latest Pharmaceutical Technologies displayed by national, regional and international pharmaceutical industry companies.
 
During the opening ceremony, H.H. Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid congratulated the organizing committee for the success achieved over the past seventeen years. Also, he emphasized that DUPHAT is a continuing education forum and platform for professional interaction and scientific discourse. 
 
“This tremendous turnout reinforces the role of Dubai as a regional hub for major international companies who are looking forward to promoting their products from Dubai to the Middle East and the world Markets”, H.H. Sheikh Hamdan said.
 
H.E. Qadhi Saeed Al Murooshid, Director General - Dubai Health Authority reassured the support and unconditional aid that Dubai Health Authority has been giving to the Pharmaceutical sector in Dubai including the level and quality of services presented by the authority through the application of the automated pharmaceutical system which had a positive impact on the level and quality of services provided in this area by reducing medical errors, reducing waiting time for patients, providing doctors with comprehensive information, formulating a data base for patients, drug prescriptions in general, in addition to improving the performance and productivity of pharmacists, facilitating drug pricing, the shortage of drugs and drug consumption. 
 
H.E. Al Murooshid also indicated the significant role that DUPHAT conference and exhibition has in terms of enhancing the investments in Dubai and also its role in attracting foreign investments to Dubai, in addition to attracting experts and pharmaceuticals from all over the world to come and participate in this outstanding forum.
 
It is worthy to mention that DUPHAT 2012 included more than 41 lectures and 20 workshops by 70 speakers, and more than 300 exhibiting companies from 73 countries.
