H.H. Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid honors the pioneering surgeons in the UAE

H.H. Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, UAE Minister of Finance and President of Dubai Health Authority, has honored 7 retired surgeons, who represent the first generation surgeons in the surgical practice in the UAE.
H.H. Sheikh Hamdan delivered them the Appreciation Award for Pioneers in Surgery from the International College of Surgeons (ICS).
This was during the opening ceremony of the 1st Asia Middle East Surgery Conference (Amescon), held under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum at the Meydan Hotel, Dubai.
Within 40 lectures and 22 workshops, Amescon discussed 500 research papers on Endocrine Surgery, Hernia Surgery, Vascular Surgery, Hepatobiliary Surgery, Surgical Gastroenterology, Trauma and Cosmetic Surgery.
It is worthy to mention that the conference is set to become an annual event to ensure the regular updating and sharing of ideas and skills among medical professionals.
