H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid receives the participants of the Health Economics Diploma 29 May 2013
H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, UAE Minister of Finance, Chairman of Dubai Health Authority and Patron of Hamdan Medical Award received at Zabeel palace a delegation represented the Health Economics and Health Technology Assessment Diploma including 25 participants from the UAE, Kuwait, and Bahrain alongside with the lecturers from University of Washington, USA.
 
H.H. Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum welcomed the delegation and referred to the keenness of the Award on developing a cadre of qualified national professionals within the framework of the efforts exerted to develop the local healthcare sector within the UAE.
 
Also, H.H. Sheikh Hamdan handed the commemorative shields to the officials of Bristol-Myers Squibb Middle East and Africa including Dr. Karl Lintel, Vice president, and Dr. Ayman Elkadi, Market Access Manager, Gulf & Egypt, in recognition of the role of the company in supporting the activities of the diploma. Also, H.H. Sheikh Hamdan honored the lecturers of the first module of the diploma including Dr. Dennis Bordeaux and Dr. Josh Carlson, University of Washington, United States. 
 
On the other hand, the members of the delegation expressed their happiness with such a significant reception which reflects the unlimited support by H.H. Sheikh Hamdan to the activities of Hamdan Medical Award, the organizer of the Diploma, in order to improve the performance of the healthcare professionals locally, regionally and internationally.
 
The reception was attended by H.E. Eng. Eissa Al Maidoor, Director General of Dubai Health Authority and Deputy Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Hamdan Medical Award, Prof. Najib Al Khaja, Secretary General, Mirza Al Sayegh and Dr. Ahmed Al Hashimi, the members of the Board of Trustees, Abdullah Bin Souqat, Executive Director, and a galaxy of the UAE officials and VIPs.
