Prof. Najib Al Khaja, Secretary General of Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Award for Medical Sciences (HMA) said: "HMA is the largest supporter for the scientific research within the United Arab Emirates, out of its belief that the scientific research is a must to improve the health sector".

 

This came after an expanded meeting headed by Al Khaja and attended by Dr. Sana Hawamdeh, Dr. Wael Abdel Rahman and Dr. Ra'ed Abu Odeh from the Faculty of Health Sciences, and Dr. Rania Fawzi Zarour from the Faculty of Medicine, Sharjah University. During the meeting Al Khaja was briefed on the completed parts in their studies supported by HMA, and gave his directives to be well-finalized as soon as possible.

 

On the other hand Al Khaja received a delegation from the Emirates Cardiac Society included Dr. Alawi AL Sheikh Ali, the President, Dr. Obaid Al Jassim, the Vice President and Dr. Noushin Badhirjani, the Board member. During the meeting they discussed strengthening the cooperation between Hamdan Medical Award and the society to be positively reflected on upgrading such important medical specialty at all levels.
