Hamdan Medical Award Discusses Cooperation with the UAE Rare Diseases Society 05 October 2021
H.E Abdullah Bin Souqat, Executive Director of the Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid ‎Al Maktoum Award, received a delegation from UAE Rare Disease Society at the headquarters of ‎the Award in Dubai.‎
 
The delegation consisted of Mr. Marwan Abdulaziz Janahi, Chairperson and Ms. Nafisa ‎Mohamed Tawfik, Vice Chairperson of the Society. They discussed ways to enhance cooperation ‎with the Award.‎
 
During the meeting, HE Abdullah Bin Souqat congratulated Mr. Marwan Abdulaziz Janahi on his ‎recent appointment as the Chairperson of the Society. He also congratulated and wished his ‎best wishes to the new board of directors of the Society, which include Ms. Nafisa Muhammad ‎Tawfiq, Vice Chairperson, Salama Al Nuaimi, Secretary General, Awatef Al gasmi, Treasurer and ‎Dr. Fatma Bastaki,  Dr. Amal Al tenaiji, and Maha Al kaabi as members of the Board.‎
 
He also stressed that the Award's support for the association, which had begun since its ‎inception, will continue in fulfillment of the vision of the late Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al ‎Maktoum, who was always keen to achieve sustainability by promoting a culture of excellence ‎and innovation in the dissemination of the culture of scientific research. “This can be achieved ‎only with full coordination at the local and global level to achieve. Integration between research ‎centers”, he said.‎
 
For his part, Mr. Marwan expressed his sincere thanks and appreciation for the support provided ‎by the Award to the UAE Rare Disease Society since its establishment. He also praised the ‎pioneering role of the Award in supporting all projects aimed at raising the health sector and ‎scientific research within the country.‎
