The 11th Annual Hybrid Case Based Approach to Controversies in Cardiovascular Diseases 25 June 2021
Under the patronage of Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Award for Medical Sciences and with the Scientific Cooperation of the Gulf Heart Association, today started the 11th Annual Hybrid Case Based Approach to Controversies in Cardiovascular Diseases, which will be held on 25 and 26 June 2021, at Le Meridien Dubai Hotel & Conference Centre, Dubai, UAE (Airport).
Dr. Wael Al Mahmeed, the Conference President, said, “The conference aims to consolidate the principle of interest in developing medical cadres and create an incubating environment for experts and specialists in an effort to develop health services provided to all segments of the society”.
The format of this meeting consist of panel discussion interacting with the virtual and in-person attendance, where the list of speakers consist of specialists from Cleveland Clinic Foundation and Mayo Clinic in the United States of America, and a group of the most prominent doctors in Cardiovascular Specialties from the country.
For his part, His Excellency Abdullah Bin Souqat, Executive Director of the Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Award for Medical Sciences, expressed his satisfaction at the launch of the conference, emphasizing on the award’s support to this event, especially during the current times aiming to continue achieving the award’s objectives of promoting scientific research and upgrading the health sector locally and globally, which has become a priority.
Among the most prominent topics that will be discussed during the conference, the few important ones will focus on electrophysiology, coronary artery disease, Valvular heart disease, and lipid management. The results and complications resulting from the replacement of the aortic valve through catheters and valve implants or the use of the valve clip will also be discussed. The mitral, focusing on how to treat heart failure cases and the role of the medical teams’ approach in dealing with these cases, in addition to electrophysiology and pacemakers, as in cases of premature ventricular contraction will be a part of the discussion as well.
Among the important cases that will be discussed are peripheral vascular diseases, as well as carotid and coronary artery diseases, and also focusing on valve diseases and presenting some cases related to congenital diseases which are related to the circulatory system.
The conference aims to attract healthcare professionals who play an important role in the care of patients with cardiovascular diseases including cardiologists, cardiac surgeons, internal medicine specialists, residents, physician assistants, nurses, and staff specialized in supportive medical services in the care of cardiovascular patients.
