His Excellency Abdulla Bin Souqat, Executive Manager of the Hamdan Medical Award said ‘One of the most important goals of the Sheikh Hamdan Award for Medical Sciences since its inception and until now was to prioritize and give focus to continuing medical education, To promote and develop the efficiency of the national doctors by supporting the medical conferences and events held in the country, In order to provide them with international expertise in various disciplines, especially in light of the rapid and successive developments witnessed by the health care sector in the era of smart health and artificial intelligence. "

“Dubai is a scientific platform and a center for honing and developing the efficiency of physicians in micro-medical fields, which we desperately need, Especially in light of the low numbers of intensive care physicians not only in the UAE, but globally, Despite the fact that they are one of the most important pillars of the health system, which needs all forms of support and care, which is keen on the award by supporting the intensive care conference organized by the Division at the Emirates Medical Association annually.” He added

He also stressed that Dubai will start hosting the second part of the test as of 2020, After the great success achieved by Dubai and the impressive results achieved by the doctors who undertook the part1 tests over the past five years, Which recorded the highest success rates in the history of the European Board.
Dr. Hussain Nasser Al Rahma, President of the Critical Care Conference which will kick off next Thursday at the intercontinental Festival City, President of the Emirates Critical Care Society and Pan Arab Critical Care Society, and Local Supervisor of the European Society of Intensive Care Medicine examinations, said that the tests will be held in conjunction with Spain, England, Ireland, Austria, and Holland.

He pointed out that the first part of the test in Dubai includes the theoretical part, The test of the second part, which we seek to polarize as of 2020, will include the practical and theoretical aspect of improving the professional performance of doctors in this important field, By expanding the number of physicians with European Board certification, the number of doctors who got the board through the first part test in Dubai, and completed the second part in Europe has so far reached more than 19 doctors from the UAE and Arab countries, This is a great achievement for Hamdan Bin Rashid Award for Medical Sciences, the award expects double the numbers in the coming years after the adoption of the UAE to conduct the test the second part, Because this will save doctors and effort and money and will be able to continue their work in their health institutions without any interruption of work.

It is worth mentioning that the exam is supervised by a European committee and is corrected electronically at the headquarters of the European Association for Critical Care, Those who pass the first part successfully perform the second part of it (practical) in Europe.
