The 4th Emirates International Urological Conference honored Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid al Makotum Award for Medical Sciences, in recognition of its efforts in supporting and improving the health field locally and regionally. This came during the opening ceremony of the conference, at the Dubai International Convention & Exhibition Centre with the participation of around 600 delegates from 32 countries.

 

Mr. Abdullah bin Souqat, the Executive Director of Hamdan Medical Award, received the honorary shield from Dr. Ahmad bin Kalban, CEO of Hospital Services Sector at the Dubai Health Authority, with the attendance of Dr. Fariborz Bargheri, President of the conference, Dr. Moza al Sharhan, the President of the Emirates Medical Association, and Dr. Abdul Rahman AL Jasmi, the CEO of Dubai Hospital.

 

The conference is held under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, UAE Minister of Finance and President of the Dubai Health Authority, and organized by the Emirates Urological Society in collaboration with the American Urological Association, the European Association of Urology, the European Association of Urology Nurses, the European Society of Sexual Medicine, and the Urological Association of Asia.
