Hamdan Medical Award participates in 3rd National Genetic Diseases Conference 11 May 2012
Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Award for Medical Sciences participated in the activities of the 3rd National Genetic Diseases Conference, organized by UAE Genetic Diseases Association and Ras Al Khaimah Medical and Health Sciences University (RAKMHSU), at Rashid Hall, Dubai Healthcare City.
 
H.E. Sheikh Nahyan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, UAE Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research opened the conference, attended by Mr. Abdullah Bin Souqat, Executive Director, Hamdan Medical Award, Dr.Ghazi Tadmoury, Assistant Director, the Award’s Centre for Arab Genomic Studies (CAGS), and a galaxy of Doctors, Geneticists and the students of RAKMHSU.
 
"The Award participated in the conference through a lecture on the primary results of CAGS’ data base, Catalogue for Transmission Genetics in Arabs (CTGA)", Dr. Ghazi Tadmoury said.
 
"Through the lecture I dealt with the great achievements of CTGA in monitoring and classifying Genetic Disorders in Arabs, and its vital role as an important reference for Doctors, Researchers and Scientists all over the world, especially after the completion of CAGS’ surveys in Oman, UAE, Qatar and Bahrain", he added.
