He pointed that the conference will discuss new therapeutic interventions and ‎their results in cases of heart disease, by presenting the cases of mitral reflux ‎patients and evaluating different treatment methods using surgery or others. It ‎will also discuss the results and complications resulting from the replacement ‎of the aortic valve by catheter and valve implants or the use of the mitral valve ‎clip. The conference will also focus on how to treat heart failure cases and the ‎role of the medical teams' approach in dealing with these cases, in addition to ‎electrophysiology and pacemakers, as well as in cases of early ventricular ‎systole, he added. ‎
On his part, His Excellency Abdullah bin Sougat, Executive Director of ‎the Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum Award for Medical Sciences, said that the ‎Award follows the path of the late Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum in ‎supporting continuing medical education and medical conferences, especially ‎those that benefit the local doctors in particular, and doctors in the Arab region ‎in general.‎
It is worth noting that among the important cases that will be discussed are ‎peripheral vascular diseases, as well as the carotid and coronary arteries, with ‎a focus on valve diseases and presenting some cases related to congenital ‎diseases related to the circulatory system.‎
