Dubai Hosts the 7th International Trauma Congress 16 February 2023
Dubai- February 2023: Under the patronage of the Sheikh ‎Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Award for Medical Sciences ‎and with the support of the Dubai Health Authority, Dubai is all ‎set to host the 7th International Trauma Congress (ITC), which ‎will take place from the 17th to the 19th of February 2023 at the ‎Meridian Hotel.‎
 
The conference has the participation of many international and ‎local associations such as the AO Trauma from Switzerland, the ‎Indian Biologics Orthopedic Society (IBOS), the World ‎Association against Infection in Orthopedics and Trauma ‎‎(WAIOT) based in Austria, the German Society for Orthopedics ‎and Trauma Surgery (DGOU), the Saudi Orthopedic Association ‎‎(SOA), the Iraqi Orthopedic Association (IOA), and the Egyptian ‎Orthopedic Association (EOA).
 
The conference also includes 49 ‎of the best surgeons in the field of trauma and bone fracture ‎surgery to talk about the latest techniques in trauma and fracture ‎surgery of the spine, pelvic bones, upper and lower extremities, ‎and modern methods in treating multiple injuries and disasters.‎
 
Dr. Bilal El-Yafawi, President of the Congress stated that the ‎previous six very rich and successful versions of the Congress ‎had seen the participation of more than 7,500 delegates both ‎from within and outside the United Arab Emirates, including 502 ‎experts in the field of trauma and fracture surgery. These editions ‎of the Congress also saw 45 training workshops being conducted ‎for more than 400 doctors from inside and outside the country. ‎He also said that ITC continues its mission to cover the most up-‎to-date scientific and technical aspects in this field.‎
 
This year, the conference will host a group of the most skilled ‎surgeons in the world and the Arab region in the field of trauma ‎surgery and bone fractures, with over 2000 registered to attend to ‎date. The congress will feature 10 cadaveric workshops and 120 ‎lectures, he added.‎
 
On his part, His Excellency Abdullah bin Souqat, Executive ‎Director of the Hamdan Medical Award, stated that the award is ‎keen to support all events that provide such opportunities to ‎meet experts from all over the world, exchange and share ‎innovations and ideas with attendees to promote scientific ‎research and support continuing medical education.‎
