Regional Academy of Dermatology & Venereology conference ‎Concludes its Activities 15 January 2023
The second edition of the Regional Academy of ‎Dermatology and Venereology Conference, concluded its activities. The ‎conference, which lasted from January 13th to 15th, 2023, was held at ‎the Conrad Dubai Hotel. ‎
 
The conference was held under the patronage of the Dubai Health ‎Authority and with the support of the Dubai Academic Health ‎Foundation, the Ministry of Health and Community Protection, and the ‎Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Award for Medical Sciences, in ‎cooperation with the Dermatology Center at Rashid Hospital. The ‎meeting saw the participation of more than 500 specialists from inside ‎and outside the country, in the presence of a group of pioneering ‎doctors and specialists and caring medical and academic support.‎
 
Dr. Mohamed Ahmed, president of the Conference, stated that the ‎conference aimed to exchange experiences and knowledge in the field of ‎dermatology, reproductive medicine, and cosmetic medicine, discuss ‎developments and challenges, and review the latest findings of modern ‎science in the treatment of skin diseases and cosmetic medicine. The ‎conference also aimed to establish effective communication between ‎dermatologists in the Arab world and the rest of the world and to ‎provide an important scientific platform through which topics related to ‎dermatology and aesthetic medicine are highlighted.‎
 
On his part, His Excellency Abdullah bin Souqat, Executive Director ‎of the Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum Award for Medical ‎Sciences, praised the scientific program of the conference. He also ‎confirmed that that the support of the Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al ‎Maktoum Award for Medical Sciences to this conference is part of one of ‎the Award’s main activities and goes in line with UAE’s leadership to ‎foster and support medical and health sciences. This support is in line ‎with the late Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum’s vision of ‎supporting all medical and health sciences. He was a keen advocate for ‎science, scientists, and researchers and was a renowned patron of health ‎services at the local, regional and international levels. ‎
 
For three days, more than 30 local, regional and international specialists ‎participated in presenting lectures, seminars and workshops and ‎discussing everything new in the diagnosis and treatment of skin and ‎venereal diseases. The conference included a workshop and an ‎interactive lecture on dermatoscopes for diagnosing skin, hair and nail ‎diseases. The conference was also accompanied by a specialized ‎exhibition in which specialized medical companies participated to display ‎the latest medicines and devices.‎
