The ceremony honoring the 14 Award winners of ‎the 12th term of the Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum Award for ‎Medical Sciences will take place tomorrow, Wednesday, November 23rd, 2022. ‎The ceremony for this term, which has infectious diseases as its main focus, ‎will be held in the presence of Sheikh Rashid bin Hamdan bin Rashid Al ‎Maktoum.‎

 

This was stated by His Excellency Abdullah bin Souqat, Executive Director of ‎the Award, noting that the Award concludes its twelfth session (2021-2022) ‎with this important event, to shed light on the efforts of scientists and ‎researchers who have contributed to achieving a qualitative leap in the level of ‎medical and health services globally, regionally and locally. The ceremony will ‎be held this year at the Museum of the Future in Dubai.‎

 

On his part, His Excellency Dr. Ahmed Al-Hashemi, Member of the Award’s ‎Board of Trustees, praised the winners, as personalities and institutions, who ‎influenced the health sector and humanitarian work locally, regionally and ‎internationally.‎

 

He pointed out that the ceremony is the culmination of the efforts of two full ‎years, the duration of each term of the Award. The ceremony will see the ‎participation of a number of important international personalities, sheikhs, ‎dignitaries and state officials, headed by His Excellency Abdul Rahman Al ‎Owais, Minister of Health and Community Protection, and Chairman of the ‎Board of Trustees of the Award.‎
