HH Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum hosts representatives from Mohammed Bin Rashid University of Medicine and Health Sciences 28 May 2018

His Highness Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Minister of Finance and President of the Dubai Health Authority, hosted a group of Faculty members and executive board members from the Mohammed Bin Rashid University of Medicine and Health Sciences at Zabeel Palace, along with academic executives from Queen’s University Belfast - their international partner - and the Secretary General of the Hamdan Medical Award.

Over the course of the meeting, H.H and Dr. Amer Ahmad Sharif, Vice Chancellor of Mohammed Bin Rashid University, discussed opportunities for collaboration between the university and the Hamdan Medical Award, including medical research and continuing medical education for researchers and practitioners in the UAE.

Furthermore, His Highness praised the university for carrying the name of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President of the UAE, Ruler of Dubai, and major advocate of science and education. He expressed utmost faith that the university will carry forward his vision for educational development in the UAE - more importantly, the future of medicine in the UAE, a major determinant of the community’s wellbeing and safety, especially for sufferers of chronic illness.
