Supported by Al Maktoum Foundation and Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum Award for Medical Sciences, the 3rd International Conference on Civilization and Islamic Arts opened.

Hurghada-25 October 2017: The 3rd International Conference on Civilization and Islamic Art opened under the title "Civilization and Building the Creative Human”. The conference is organized by the Arab Society for Civilization and Islamic Arts in collaboration with Al Maktoum Charity Foundation, Hamdan Bin Rashid Award for Medical Sciences, the Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO) and the Kuwaiti Najat Association for Cultural Communication.
The 4 day conference is held under the patronage of H.E Ahmed Abdullah, the governor of Red Sea and in attendance of Dr. Mohamed Zeinhom, President of the conference, Dr. Ahmed Al Hashimi, Member of the Board of Trustees of Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Award for Medical Sciences and the representative of the Award and Al Maktoum Foundation, Dr. Salahaldin Al Gaafaraway, Representative of ISESCO, Dr.Jaber Al Wandah, President of Al Najat Charity Society, and with the participation of many researchers from all over the world and specialists in the field of Islamic arts and Architectures, particularly within the theme of the conference.
During the opening ceremony, Dr. Ahmed Al Hashimi conveyed the greetings and wishes of H.H Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, the UAE Minister of Finance and the Patron of Al Maktoum Foundation and Hamdan Medical Award. He confirmed that the support of the conference by Al Maktoum Foundation and Sheikh Hamdan Award for Medical Sciences also signified a support to the Emirati-Egyptian brotherly relationships, and embodying the mutual cooperation in all political, economics, and cultural fields.
“H.H is Really cares about supporting creative minds all over the world through many efforts, such as revival of all Arab sports heritage, regionally and globally, with a keen interest in highlighting the important role played by creative minds of Arabs in developing all scientific, medical, educational and environmental fields. And this initiative is clearly visible in honoring and supporting Arab creators like Dr. Magdy Yakoub and Dr. Mohamed Ghonaim, as well as western intellectuals such as Dr. Robert J. Edwards by the Hamdan Awards for Medical Sciences’’ Dr.Ahmed Said.
H.E Ahmed Abdulla, Red Sea Governor during his speech praised H.H Sheikh Hamdan and Al Maktoum Foundation’s Efforts in Egypt through participating in such conferences. He also confirmed the importance of the conference and its recommendations which would contribute to the development of the action programs of the organization and its projects related to the Islamic arts.
In his part H.E Mirza Al Sayegh, Member of Board of Trustees of Al Maktoum Foundation said that the support and patronage of such leading civilizational initiatives comes under the instructions of H.H Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid to keep pace with all the projects and initiatives of civilization, to high light our identity and our Islamic civilization which opens up to the world and refuse the closure, extremism and terrorism.
It should be noted that this is the 3rd session of the conference. The 1st session was in Sharm El Sheikh City and the 2nd in Luxor, with many countries participating as representatives.
