22nd of April, 2017: Under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, UAE Minister of Finance, Chairman of the Dubai Health Authority, and the Patron of the Award, the Hamdan Medical Award participated in the exhibition that was accompanying the Joint 5th Emirates International Orthopedic Congress & 1st American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons Middle-East Forum. The conference was held from the 20th till the 22nd of April, at InterContinental Hotel, Dubai Festival City.
Abdullah Bin Souqat, a member of the Board of Trustees of the Hamdan Medical Award said: The award’s participation in this conference, organized by the Emirates Orthopaedic Society, was a good opportunity to contact with specialists from inside and outside the country and to encourage them to present their nominations for the international awards.
“In its 10th term, the award specified the musculoskeletal disorders as the topic of the Grand Hamdan International Award, and Rheumatologic Diseases, Orthopedics and Orthopedic Mechanics as the topics for the Hamdan International Award for Medical Research Excellence”, he added.
“The choice of these topics highlights the significant achievements during the last few years in this field of medicine which has been resulted in innovative therapeutic and surgical techniques that have improved the lives of many patients all over the world”, he added.
