H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid receives female graduates of Cultural Diversity and Leadership Skills programmes 09 March 2017
March 9, 2017: H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and UAE Minister of Finance, received the female students who participated in the summer and winter sessions of the Cultural Diversity and Leadership Skills programmes (the 22nd and 23rd sessions), organized by the Al Maktoum Higher Education Faculty in Dundee, Scotland.
 
During the meeting which was held at Zabeel Palace, H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid welcomed the students who were good ambassadors for their country, presented a positive image about the UAE as a tolerant society, and highlighted the inclusive civilised renaissance in the UAE. Also, the program was a good chance for the students to be introduced to the European cultures and civilisations.
 
H.H. Sheikh Hamdan wished the students success in their upcoming professional lives, and to effectively contribute to the community development.
 
Attended the reception are Sheikh Rashid bin Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Sheikh Saeed bin Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Culture and Knowledge Development; Sheikha Lubna bint Khalid Al Qasimi, Minister of State for Tolerance; Abdul Rahman bin Mohammad bin Nasser Al Owais, Minister of Health and Prevention; Hussain bin Ibrahim Al Hammadi, Minister of Education; Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, Minister of Climate Change and Environment; Humaid Al Qatami, Chairman and Director-General of Dubai Health Authority; Lt. General Saif Abdullah Al Sha'far, Ministry of Interior Under-Secretary, as well as directors and officials from the participating faculties and universities.
 
The 4-weeks winter session of the Cultural Diversity and Leadership Skills program was concluded with the participation of 47 female students from UAE universities, Qatar University, Cairo University, and the University of Malaya, Malaysia.
 
From the United Arab Emirates, participated in the program are students from the UAE University, Sharjah University, Zayed University, Abu Dhabi University, British University in Dubai, American University in Sharjah, and the Faculty of Islamic and Arabic Studies.
