Thursday, 20th of November 2016: Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid al Maktoum Award for Medical Sciences participated in Gastro 2016 conference, organized by the Emirates Gastroenterology & Hepatology Society in cooperation with the World Gastroenterology Organization, at Abou Dhabi National Exhibition Center.

 

Under the patronage of H.E. Abdul Rahman Al Owais, the UAE Minister of Health and Prevention, Dr. Yousef al Serkal, the Assistant Undersecretary for the Ministry’s Hospitals Sector, inaugurated the conference, with the attendance of Abdullah bin Souqat, a member of the award’s board of Trustees, and a galaxy of healthcare professionals from local and international medical sectors.

 

Through its booth in the accompanying exhibition, the award presented its activities and events, including the 9th Dubai International Conference for Medical Sciences which will be held from the 14th till the 16th of December, in conjunction with the award ceremony to honor the winners of its 9th term.

 

The main theme of the conference is Gastroenterology, with a focus on Liver, Pancreas, and Colon Diseases. Among the speakers of the conference are the winners of the Grand Hamdan International Award, and the Hamdan International Award for Medical Research Excellence
