For the first time in the history of Hamdan Medical Award: The 9th Dubai International Conference for Medical Sciences without papers

The United Arab Emirates, Dubai - Monday, December 5, 2016: Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Award for Medical Sciences announced that its 9th Dubai International Conference for Medical Sciences will be organized from 14 to 16 December without papers.
Abdullah bin Souqat, a member of the Board of Trustees of the Hamdan Medical Award, said: By reducing its consumption of resources, the Award supports the UAE strategic plans and efforts towards formulating a sustainable future for the region, and towards its transformation into the green economy.
“The award uses the POKEN technology for the first time in its history. By touching their badges with around 35 touchpoints, the delegates will receive the electronic versions of the materials they need such as the publications of the conference and the award, and the research papers to be presented in the conference as lectures or posters”.
“So, in a matter of minutes, each one of the 500 participants will receive the materials they need by e-mail. Also, the on-line platform for these materials will be available, so they will be able to access them any time in the future”.
“Not only this, but it will be easy to share these documents and files by e-mails and social media channels”.
“Traditional bags stuffed with books and heavy publications will be replaced by Tablets and mobile phones. Actually, the conference will present a useful and enjoyable experience for the guests”, Abdullah bin Souqat added.
“For achieving the best results, we will be sure that the whole guests are fully aware of this new technology”.
“So, few days before starting the conference, the registered specialists will receive e-mails about how to use this new technique.
Also, illustrated posters and videos will be available during the conference, with a well- trained team of professionals to help users”.
It is noteworthy that the 9th Dubai International Conference for Medical Sciences will be held in conjunction with the Award Ceremony to honor the winners of the 9th term of Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Award for Medical Sciences. The main theme of the conference is Gastroenterology with a focus on colon, liver and pancreatic diseases.
The conference includes 14 scientific lectures and 12 workshops, with the participation of the winners of the International Grand Hamdan Award and International Award for Medical Research excellence.
