H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid receives directors of Al-Maktoum Foundation’s offices in Africa 20 January 2016
H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, UAE Minister of Finance, and the Patron of Al-Maktoum Foundation, received directors of Al-Maktoum Foundation’s offices in Africa, at Za'abeel Palace.
 
During the meeting, H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum praised the success of the foundation’s 40 schools in more than 23 African countries in bridging the shortage of schools there and in supporting the educational process with the cutting-edge technologies.
 
Also, H.H. Sheikh Hamdan referred to the upcoming period which will be witnessing a notable expansion in the quantity and quality of the services provided by these schools. As an example, the International University of Africa in Sudan, and a university in Tanzania have agreed on receiving the graduates of the secondary schools to continue their higher education there.
 
The directors of Al Maktoum foundation’s offices in Africa briefed His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid on the progress in these schools, and expressed the thanks of their countries’ leaders for his continuous support to the local community development in various fields.
 
The meeting was attended by Mirza Al-Sayegh, a Member of the Board of Trustees of Al-Maktoum Foundation, Mohammed Obaid Bin Ghannam, Secretary General, Abdul Rahman Ahmad, the Director of Mozambique office, Mohammed al-Haj Hamad, the Director of Rwanda office, Zakaria Jibril Ahmed, the Director of South Africa office, Abdul Salam Adam, the Director of Kenya office, Dr. Ahmed Mohamed Moussa, Chad, and Abdul Rahman Hamdan Almnzul, Cameroon.
 
In this respect, Sheikh Rashid bin Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of Al Maktoum Foundation, opened the foundation’s photo gallery entitled "Images from Africa", at the headquarter of the Cultural and Scientific Association.
 
In conjunction with celebrating the 20th anniversary of Al-Maktoum Foundation, more than 100 photographs were exhibited to shed light on the foundation’s achievements in supporting the educational process development in Africa.
