Hamdan Medical Award participates in the Graduate Studies Research & Open Day in the UAE University 22 April 2015
Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Award for Medical Sciences participated in the Graduate Studies Research & Open Day organized by the College of Graduate Studies in the UAE University, at the Great Hall, main campus, Al Ain, in the presence of Prof. Sehamuddin Galadari, Chairman of the award’s Medical Research Committee and Prof. Frank Christopher Howarth, a committee member.
 
Dr. Shereen Hamada, Senior scientific coordinator, Hamdan Medical Award, said that the award’s participation in this important event reflects its interest in supporting the scientific research in the United Arab Emirates which comes on the top of its priorities. “The award has supported about one hundred research studies within the UAE, whose results have contributed in improving the UAE medical field”, she said.
 
“Through the award’s platform in the accompanying exhibition, we introduced the award’s activities in the field of supporting the medical research to the university’s graduate students, the master's and doctoral students”, she added.
 
The Graduate Studies Research & Open Day was held in the presence of Prof. Ghaleb Al Hadrami, the Deputy Vice Chancellor for Research and Graduate Studies, Dr. Ali Al Kaabi, the Deputy Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs and enrollment, and a group of professors, researchers and students interested in the graduate programs.
 
The exhibition was held with the participation of AL Jalila Foundation in addition to a number of the university colleges included the College of Medicine and Health Sciences, College of Science, College of Food & Agriculture, College of Engineering, College of Information Technology, College of Education, College of Business and Economics, College of Law, College of Graduate Studies and College of Humanities and Social Sciences.
