Mr. Abdullah bin Souqat, the Executive Director of Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Award for Medical Sciences, discussed with Dr. Jamila al Sheikh, the Director of the Department of Medical Education, Dubai Health Authority, strengthening the bonds of mutual cooperation concerning the continuing medical education and scientific research.

During the meeting, which held at the award’s headquarter, the two sides discussed the continuing medical education programs from a new perspective in which the role of this education is not limited to the development of the performance of the healthcare sector professionals, but extends to encourage them to pay more attention to the scientific research. Also, the results of the scientific research should be considered while planning for the continuing medical education programs.
