A hall in the Cairo University named after H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum 05 March 2015
Dr. Jaber Nassar, the President of the Cairo University in Egypt, announced that a delegation from Al Maktoum Charity will visit the University next week to open a hall at the library of the university’s Faculty of Political Sciences named after H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, UAE Minister of Finance and the Patron of Hamdan Medical award, in recognition of his support to the education, culture and scientific research, particularly in renovating some halls at the University.
 
This came after the reception held by H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum for Dr. Jaber Nassar, President of the Cairo University, and his accompanying delegation.
 
During the meeting, Dr. Nassar briefed H.H. Sheikh Hamdan on the University's innovative cost-effective and environmentally-friendly research on desalinating sewage water into drinking water and another innovative solar power station that fits the local environment in the UAE and Egypt.
 
He referred to the signing of an agreement between the University of Cairo and the National Academy for Research & Development in Dubai, under which Emirati and residents will have access to post-graduate studies including master and doctorate degrees.
