Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing honors Hamdan Medical Award 19 January 2015
Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Award for Medical Sciences was honored by the Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing’s Dubai Convention and events Bureau, in a ceremony held at Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre, as one of the distinguished participants in the 4th “Al Safeer program”. The Hamdan Medical Award was honored in recognition of its vital role in supporting the business tourism and in promoting the status of Dubai as an ideal destination for hosting conferences and international events. 
 
Mr. Abdullah bin Souqat, Executive Director of the Hamdan Medical Award, received the award’s honorary shield from Helal Saeed Al Marri, Director General of the DTCM, in the presence of Hamad Mohammed bin Mejren, Executive Director of the Dubai Convention and events Bureau, the officials of the DTCM, VIPs and the honorees. 
 
On this occasion, Mr. Abdullah bin Souqat expressed his sincere thanks to the Tourism and Marketing Department in Dubai. “Honoring the award crowns its tireless efforts in organizing and supporting the international medical conferences and events within the UAE. Such efforts do not only enrich the medical arena but also support the status of Dubai as an ideal destination to host the major medical events”, He said.
 
“Our leadership’s keenness on developing all governmental authorities and institutions in Dubai has helped them to be able to finalize all the procedures necessary for holding the medical events neatly in a record time starting from the issuance of visitors’ visas till holding these events”, he added.
 
“The Emirate of Dubai has become an ideal destination for the conferences tourism at the level of the Middle East region, particularly for the international major medical events. Dubai is characterized by many features and capabilities such as its high-standard infrastructure, touristic potentials in addition to safety and security. Visiting Dubai has become an unforgettable unique experience”, He said.
