Supported by Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Award for Medical Sciences, the International Child Health Conference was held at Sheraton Dubai Creek Hotel, from 20 until November 22, coinciding with the International Children's Day.

Prof. Najib Al Khaja, Secretary General of Hamdan Medical Award, attended the opening ceremony of the conference which has provided 22.5 CME hours accredited by the Dubai Health Authority.

In opening ceremony, Prof. AL Khaja delivered a speech in which he spoke about the importance of improving children’s healthcare sector. “Our children are our future. They will be responsible for developing our societies towards better tomorrows”, he said.

“Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Award for Medical Sciences spares no effort to support all means of improving healthcare services particularly for children”, he added.

The award is the main supporter for the medical conferences locally and regionally, within the framework of its belief in the importance of strengthening the channels of communication among the healthcare professionals to learn about the latest findings and studies in various medical specialties.
