H.H. Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, UAE Minister of Finance and President of the Dubai Health Authority inaugurated the 18th edition of the UAE International Dental Conference and Arab Dental Exhibition (AEEDC Dubai) organized by Dubai Health Authority, in cooperation with INDEX conferences and exhibitions, at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre.

Following the traditional ribbon-cutting ceremony, H.H. Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid toured the exhibition area, and heard from the exhibitors about the latest technologies and accomplishments that the manufacturing companies had reached to in the field of dentistry all over the world.

Dr. Abdul Salam Al Madani, Executive Chairman of AEEDC Dubai and Global Scientific Dental Alliance said: "With steady steps in the past 18 years, AEEDC Dubai conference and exhibition recorded an outstanding growth year after year, until it has become an essential platform for dentists, technicians, and manufacturers from all over the world”.

“We are very proud that AEEDC Dubai today is ranked as the second largest dental event in the world and the first in the MENASA Region. It is considered the main gate to the Middle East countries and Southeast Asian countries, as it attracts more than 30,000 participants and visitors from all over the world”, Al Madani added.

The 3-days event occupies 50,000 square meters of floor space and hosts more than 1,400 companies from 70 countries, with the participation of a number of regional and international officials, heads of delegation representatives from 130 countries.

This year, AEEDC 2014 Exhibition features 19 national pavilions primarily from: Brazil, China, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Hungary, Japan, Taiwan, Turkey, Korea, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Portugal, United States of America, United Kingdom and the United Arab Emirates.
