Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Award for Distinguished Academic Performance is transformed to a program of educational excellence

H.H. Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, UAE Minister of Finance and Patron of Hamdan Award for distinguished Academic Performance, announced the transformation of the Award to a program of educational excellence. This came during H.H. Sheikh Hamdan speech in the Award ceremony to honor 232 winners of its 16th term at Dubai World Trade Center.
In his speech, H.H. Sheikh Hamdan congratulated the winners and expressed his pleasure to meet the creators in the education field wishing them all the best and success. Also, he thanked the Award’s partners including UNESCO, Arab Bureau of Education, Ministries of Education and media.
During the ceremony, H.H. Sheikh Hamdan honored 210 winners of the award in excellence in local competition, 21 winners of the GCC competition in addition to a research from KSA awarded the Arab Educational Research prize.
The winners of the local competition included 175 winners in the distinguished student, 14 winners in the distinguished academic student, 1 winners in the adult earner, 2 winners in the distinguished school & school administration, 10 winners in the distinguished teacher, 2 winners in the best applied project, 1 winner in the best scientific innovation, 4 winners in the best applied educational research, and 1 winner in the distinguished family category.
It is worthy to mention that the transformation of the Award to a program of educational excellence reflects H.H. Sheikh Hamdan keenness to complete the Award’s role in driving the significant practices towards the professionalism, especially that the idea of excellence has become a reality in the field of education, the standards of excellence have been settled and “quality†has become a requirement for customer satisfaction and beneficiaries.
The ceremony was attended by Sheikh Rashid Bin Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Al Maktoum Foundation, H.E. Humaid Bin Mohammad Al Qatami, UAE Minister of Education and Chairman of the Award’s Board of Trustees, H.E. Juma Al Majid, Chairman of Dubai Economic Council and a number of VIPs, dignitaries and educators.
