Hamdan Medical Award participates in the Dubai International Humanitarian Aid & Development Exhibition (DIHAD 2014) 27 March 2014
Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Award for Medical Sciences participates in the exhibition accompanying the 10th Dubai International Humanitarian Aid & Development Conference (DIHAD 2014), which is held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, under the theme "Women and Relief, the impact of disasters and crises on women". The conference is held during the period from 25 till March 27 at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre.
 
Abdullah bin Souqat, Executive Director of Hamdan Medical Award, praised the distinguished participants in DIHAD including a galaxy of the most important local and international organizations working in the field of relief and development. Also, he pointed out to the participation of the award in the accompanying exhibition which reflects its belief in the importance of the international relief efforts in alleviating suffering from disasters and crises, which are mostly associated with bad health and living conditions.
 
“It is a good chance to support ways of communication with the conference’s delegates to present the award’s various activities which are at the service of both the local, regional and international healthcare workers and members of the community”, he said.
 
“The delegates are interested in the Hamdan Award for Volunteers in Humanitarian Medical services, one of eight awards in three categories namely; the international awards, the Arab world awards and the United Arab Emirates awards”, he added.
