In collaboration with Montpellier University, France: Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Award for Medical Sciences organizes intensive course on mechanical ventilation 01 December 2011
Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Award for Medical Sciences organized the intensive course entitled "mechanical ventilation and acute respiratory failure, from peri-operative period to intensive care unit” from 27th till 29th November at Sheikh Rashid Hospital, Dubai, with support of Dubai Health Authority.
 
During the course, the participated physicians were trained on how to use the latest equipments of mechanical ventilation through a number of lectures and practical training courses under the supervision of professors of Anesthesia and Critical Care Medicine at Montpellier University, France, in collaboration with a galaxy of Consultant Anesthesia at Rashid Hospital.
 
 
 
Mr. Abdullah Bin Souqat, Executive Director of the award, said that the course is of great importance as it deals with mechanical ventilation methods which are important elements used during operations and at intensive care units in order to control patients’ breathing.
 
He added that an expanded meeting with officials at Montpellier University, France, was held during which they agreed on holding the graduation ceremony for the recent batch of Post Graduate Regional Anesthesia Diploma next January in Dubai.
“The meeting included Professor Xavier Capdevila and Professor Samir Jaber, from Montpellier University, and Dr. Mansour Mohammed Yousef Naziri and Dr. Philippe Macaire, from Sheikh Rashid Hospital, Dubai”, he said. 
 
It is worth mentioning that Post Graduate Regional Anesthesia Diploma was held in Dubai from January till June 2011, organized by the prestigious Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Award for Medical Sciences in cooperation with Montpellier University, France and Trauma Center at Rashid Hospital, Dubai.
