Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Award for Medical Sciences participates in the World Diabetes Congress 2011 Exhibition 05 December 2011
Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Award for Medical Sciences is participating in the exhibition held on the sidelines of the World Diabetes Congress 2011. The exhibition was inaugurated by HH Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, UAE Minister of Finance, Chairman of Dubai Health Authority and the Patron of the Award at Dubai World Trade Convention and Exhibition Centre.
 
After the inauguration, HH Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum told the reporters that UAE is a leading country in organizing conferences and exhibitions, due to its privileged position and safety.
 
 
 
HH Sheikh Hamdan highlighted the importance of the exhibition, which is considered a platform for the exhibitors to introduce the latest equipments and techniques in the field of Diabetes treatment. Also, HH referred to the high rates of Diabetes in the region, because of the spread of luxury and lack of exercise.
 
On the other hand, Mr. Abdullah Bin Souqat, Executive Director of the Award, praised the exhibition which is well organized and attended by more than 160 world companies.
 
He said that participating in the exhibition is a good opportunity to enhance ways of direct communication between the award and participated physicians and exhibitors. Such contacts will be reflected in the award’s future plans with the aim of meeting the needs of medical communities and improving their performances locally and internationally.
 
He added that participating in the exhibition is an excellent opportunity to encourage doctors and local, Arab and international health sectors’ workers, to submit their nominations to the award, in its 7th term 2011-2012, before the deadline (the end of December 2011).
