Under the patronage of HH Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum: 5th ISN Update Course in Nephrology 2011 (ISN 2011) kicks off in Dubai 08 December 2011
Under the patronage of HH Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, UAE Minister of Finance and President of Dubai Health Authority, Qadhi Saeed Al Murooshid General Director of Dubai Health Authority and Deputy Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Award for Medical Sciences, will open tomorrow evening 5th ISN Update Course in Nephrology 2011 (ISN 2011) at Intercontinental Hotel in Dubai Festival City.
 
The 4-days conference is organized by Emirates Society of Nephrology in collaboration with International Society of Nephrology, Arab Society of Nephrology and Saudi Society of Nephrology, supported by Dubai Health Authority and Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Award for Medical Sciences.
 
Dr. Mona Al Rukhaimi, President of the Conference and Chairman of Emirates Society of Nephrology, said that the conference includes 40 lectures by 35 world specialists with participation of 600 doctors and health sectors’ workers within and outside UAE.
 
"There are about 1500 patients with dialysis treatment and 1000 patients with transplanted kidneys in UAE", she added referring to the importance of holding the conference in UAE. She added that, during the first three days of the conference, six workshops will be held by a group of distinguished senior specialists from UAE, KSA, USA and UK.
 
"Tomorrow morning, 2 workshops will be held on microscopic diagnosis of kidney tissues’ diseases and pre-dialysis minor operations", she said. "During the last day of the Conference, for the first time in the Arab world, Arab Society of Nephrology meeting and the regular meeting of the Middle East Committee of Renal Services Development Association will be held", she added.
 
It should be noted that, following the Opening Ceremony of the Conference, the accompanied exhibition will be inaugurated in which 17 specialized companies will display the latest technologies in that field of medicine.
