Cultural and Media Center for HH Sheikh Sultan Bin Zayed and Emirates Heritage Club honors Al Khaja 22 December 2011
Under the patronage of HH Sheikh Sultan Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Representative of HH President of UAE, and in the framework of celebrating the 40th National Day of UAE, Prof. Najeeb Al Khaja, Cardiac Surgeon and Secretary General of Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Award for Medical Sciences, was honored yesterday by The Cultural and Media Center for HH Sheikh Sultan Bin Zayed and by Emirates Heritage Club, in recognition of his outstanding role in enriching the UAE scientific and research march for many years full of hard work and creativity, at Fairmont Hotel, Bab Al Bahr , in Abu Dhabi.
 
Also, during the Ceremony, the winners of Sultan Bin Zayed Al Nahyan awards for the best research papers on UAE during the last 40 years in political, economic and social fields were honored.
 
"Celebrating the 40th National Day of UAE is an exceptional occasion as it reflects the importance of this memory in our hearts”, said by HH Sheikh Sultan Bin Zayed AL Nahyan in his speech which was delivered on behalf of him by HE Habib Yusuf Al Sayegh, General Director of Cultural and Media Centre for HH Sultan Bin Zayed and Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the ceremony, with the attendance of Ali Abdullah Al Rumaithi, Executive Director of the activities in the Emirates Heritage Club.
 
"Emirates Heritage Club and the Cultural and Media Center for HH Sheikh Sultan Bin Zayed honor scientists as they are considered the cornerstone of the process of development in UAE, in line with the approach of late HH Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, and the directives of HH Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of UAE "may God preserves him", added by HH Sheikh Sultan Bin Zayed.
 
On the other hand, Prof. Najib Al Khaja, Secretary General of Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Award for Medical Sciences, said that he is so proud to be honored as it is considered a reflection of HH Sheikh Sultan Bin Zayed Al Nahyan’s ongoing efforts on encouraging scientists, within a framework of UAE comprehensive vision stressing on the inevitability of combining efforts of all sectors of the society, whether cultural, economic, political or social sectors for further progress and prosperity.
