Hamdan Medical Journal is to be launched soon 22 March 2012
Next Sunday, Hamdan Medical Award will hold a press conference on the occasion of launching the first issue of its quarterly journal "Hamdan Medical Journal", formerly "Journal of Medical Sciences", at the Palace Hotel, downtown Dubai.
 
Prof. Dr. Najib Al Khaja, Secretary General of the Award, said that under the guidance of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, UAE Minister of Finance, Patron of the Award, Hamdan Medical Journal will be launched. The Journal embodies a milestone in the history of the award and contributes to achieve a quantum leap in the field of the medical publishing regionally and internationally. 
 
"In spite of the great success achieved by the Award’s previous journal, received the indexing in Chemical Abstracts, Index Medicus for Eastern Mediterranean Region (IMEMR), and Copernicus International, we have a limitless ambition for more achievements through the new journal which is expected to occupy the forefront position among the most important international medical journals", Al Khaja said. 
 
"The system of the Journal is a high developed one, ensures submitting the research papers on line, www.hamdanjournal.org, and voting on them electronically by a panel of international arbitrators under the supervision of a group of senior professionals in the field of the electronic Medical publishing", Prof. Najuib added.
 
"A new Editorial Board had been appointed, headed by the Austrian Prof. Dr. Harald Rosen and with the membership of a group of senior professionals in the field of the medical publishing", he said.
 
"While the Breast Cancer is the main theme of the first issue of the Journal, Diabetes will be the theme of the second issue in August", he added.
 
Al Khaja said that along with the scientific research papers and the medical reports by senior professors and doctors, the journal will include many materials with the aim of enriching the medical culture of the web site’s visitors including news and interviews with a galaxy of significant scientists and doctors.
