Hamdan Medical Award supports World Congress of Cardiology 19 April 2012
Hamdan Medical Award has financed the registration fees of 10 doctors, 9 nurses and 90 students from faculties of Medicine in UAE, Sharjah and Ras Al Khaimah universities at the World Congress of Cardiology, which is being held at Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre. By attending the scientific sessions of the conference, the participants will receive 17 CME hours accredited from the European Society of Cardiology. 
 
 
 
Abdullah Bin Souqat, Executive Director of Hamdan Medical Award, said that such support comes upon the implementation of the strategy of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, UAE Minister of Finance, President of Dubai Health Authority and patron of the Award, including supporting important medical activities in UAE.
 
"Supporting Continuing Medical Education in UAE is one of the main objectives of the Award", He said. "World Congress of Cardiology is one of the most important international conferences held for the first time in the Middle East", he added.
 
"By attending the Conference, the participants have a good opportunity to contact with a galaxy of significant doctors and surgeons to be acquainted with the latest techniques used in field of cardiology", he added. "Hamdan Medical Award is participating in the accompanied exhibition, which includes international companies from 130 countries", he said.
 
"Through participating in the exhibition, the Award encourages a broader spectrum of local and international scientists, doctors, and researchers to take advantage of the important projects undertaken by the award with the aim of enhancing local, Arab and international healthcare sectors", he added. "Also, the exhibition provides good channels of communication with healthcare professionals to get acquainted with their actual needs to be placed on the priorities of the Award", he added.
