H.H. Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, UAE Minister of Finance, President of Dubai Health Authority and Patron of Al Maktoum Foundation, has approved Al- Maktoum Foundation's budget of AED 90 million for 2012-2013.

 

Also, H.H. Sheikh Hamdan ordered immediate distribution of the annual assistance including Zakat Al Fitr (a charity given to the poor at the end of the fasting in the Islamic holy month of Ramadan) and Iftar (breakfast) banquet program within the UAE and abroad which worth AED 20 million.

 

Mohammed Al Ghanam, Secretary General of Al Maktoum Foundation, said that the foundation's budget covers the operational costs of its centers in Dubai, Sheikha Maitha bint Rashid Al Maktoum Center for Special Needs, the foundation's educational and cultural institutions in Europe, and its Schools in Africa, approximately 40 secondary schools, in addition to the support provided by the foundation for many educational and charitable institutions locally and internationally.
