Hamdan Medical Award participates in the exhibition of Hamdan Bin Rashid Awards in Paris 19 October 2012
Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Award for Medical Sciences (HMA) participated in the exhibition of Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Awards in Paris, France. Alongside with HMA, Hamdan Bin Rashid Award for Distinguished Academic Performance, Dubai International Award for Best Practices and UNESCO-Hamdan Bin Rashid Al-Maktoum Prize for Outstanding Practice and Performance in Enhancing the Effectiveness of Teachers participated in the exhibition.
 
Prof. Najib Al Khaja, Secretary General, and Mr. Abdullah Bin Souqat, CEO, traveled to Paris at the head of the HMA delegation to attend the exhibition inaugurated by H.H. Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, UAE Minister of Finance and Chairman of Dubai Health Authority and Irina Bokova, Director of UNESCO on the occasion of signing two agreements of cooperation between UNESCO and Al Maktoum Foundation and Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Award for Distinguished Academic Performance.
 
Abdullah Bin Souqat said that through the exhibition Hamdan Medical Award has provided a large number of written, audio and visual materials to introduce the centers of the Award, its aims and activities which pour all in upgrading local, regional and international health sectors, in line with the strategy of the Patron of the Award H.H. Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
 
“H.H. Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum has presented the UNESCO Director a memento from Hamdan Medical Award as an expression of welcoming the cooperation between UNESCO and the charitable, educational and medical institutions of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid which entrench the culture of peace and education and fight the ignorance in communities that lack the most basic elements of education, training and precious life”, Bin Souqat said.
 
On the other side, Irina Bokova, UNESCO Director, welcomed the initiatives of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, which aim at improving the standards of live of peoples. Also, she expressed the UNESCO readiness to support the activities of these institutions if it is needed.
