Bin Souqat receives Secretary General of Central Board for Accreditation of Healthcare Institutions in Saudi Arabia 19 May 2013
Abdullah bin Souqat, Executive Director of Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Award for Medical Sciences, received Dr. Salim Al-Wahabi, Secretary General of Central Council Board for Accreditation of Healthcare Institutions (CBAHI) in Saudi Arabia at the headquarters of the Award in Bur Dubai.
 
Bin Souqat expressed his pleasure to receive Dr. Al Wahabi and said: "Such a meeting was a good opportunity to be acquainted with the activities of the CBAHI, the official body authorized to grant healthcare accreditations to all government and private healthcare institutions in Saudi Arabia including hospitals, primary healthcare centers, ambulatory healthcare centers and medical laboratories. The main aim of CBAHI is to improve the quality of healthcare services as an essential guarantor for the future of safety for patients to keep pace with the rapid growth in the construction of healthcare institutions in KSA, both governmental and private.
 
During the meeting, attended by Dr. Bassam Darwish, Media Expert, Dr. Salim AL Wahabi has been briefed on the activities of Hamdan Medical Award and its important role in upgrading healthcare sectors and healthcare professional staff locally, regionally and internationally through its five centers including the Awards center, Center for Arab Genomic Studies, Continuing Medical Education Center, Research Support Centre, for Scientific research within the United Arab Emirates, and Publication Center, issues Hamdan Medical Journal (HMJ).
