Within the framework of a generous support by the Patron of Hamdan Medical Award: H.H. Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid gives his directives of the free registration in Dubai International Conference for Medical Sciences 11 November 2012
Hamdan Medical Award Announced the directives issued by H.H. Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, UAE Minister of Finance and Chairman of Dubai Health Authority, concerning the free registration for all workers, in local, Arab and international health sectors, who would like to participate in the 7th Dubai International Conference for Medical Sciences. The conference which is organized by the Award from 10 till 12 December at Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre on Neonatal and Fetal Medicine, Nutrition in Infancy and Inborn Errors of Metabolism, provides18 CME Credit Hours from Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, United Arab Emirates University.
 
This came in the announcement by Prof. Najib Al Khaja, Secretary General of Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Award for Medical Sciences. He praised the full sponsorship to the conference by H.H. Sheikh Hamdan which reflects his eagerness in overcoming any financial obstacles which could prevent the development of the skills of health sectors workers, particularly pediatricians and Fetal Medicine specialists, for a better future by a healthy new generation.
 
“H.H. Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum is the spiritual father of doctors and professionals in healthcare sectors locally and internationally. His full support to the 7th Dubai International Conference for Medical Sciences is a part of supporting a series of activities by the Award and local, regional and international medical institutions, with the aim of improving the standard of medical and administrative staff in those institutions”, Prof. Najib said.

“At the end of each term and in conjunction with the Award Ceremony, Hamdan Medical Award holds Dubai International Conference for Medical Sciences on the same topic of the international awards”, Al Khaja said.

Also, Al-Khaja referred to the most prominent keynote speakers at this year's conference including Prof. Jeffrey Whitsett, Director of Division of Pulmonary Biology Department of Pediatrics Cincinnati, Children’s Hospital, USA, and the winner of Grand Hamdan Award on Neonatal Medicine. 
 
Among the keynote speakers, Prof. Sir Nicholas Wald, Professor of Environmental and Preventive Medicine, Wolfson Institute of Preventive Medicine, The London School of Medicine and Dentistry, University of London, UK and the winner of Hamdan Award for Medical Research Excellence on Fetal Medicine. Also, among the keynote speakers, Professor Rebecca A Simmons, Professor of Pediatrics, Department of Pediatrics and Obstetrics and Gynecology, University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine, Philadelphia, USA and the winner of Hamdan Award for Medical Research Excellence on nutrition in infants.
 
Among the participants in the conference, Prof. Roland J A Wanders, Laboratory Genetic Metabolic Diseases, Academic Medical Center, University of Amsterdam, Netherlands and the winner of Hamdan Award for Medical Research Excellence on Inborn Errors of Metabolism.
 
Al-Khaja pointed out to the outstanding participation of H.E. KSA Minister of Health Dr. Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz Al-Rabia, a winner of Hamdan Award for Distinguished Personalities in the Arab World and a leading specialist in pediatrics and neonatal surgery, particularly separating Siamese Twins.
